Caramelised Onion – Raw Recipe

Caramelized Onion


2 large onions, chopped, sliced in rings or minced

1C pitted dates, with enough water to cover and soak

4 TB tamari


Select and prepare how you want the onions, place in large mixing bowl

Place soaked dates with soak water, and tamari in a food processor or blender, blend until smooth

Add date mix to prepared onions, and mix thru with your hands.

Spread mix onto a teflex sheet, and dehydrate 3-6 hours until onions are soft

This is such a simple recipe, and one you will make time and time again, to use in as many ways as your imagination will allow.

On crackers as a dip, add to raw soups, add to other veggies as a sauce, great to toss thru zucchini or kelp noodles, awesome as a chutney or salsa
