1 large onions sliced into thin rings using a V slicer
1 C flax seeds ground
1 C sunflower seeds ground
½ C tamari
1/3 C olive oil
In a large mixing bowl add ground flax, sunflower seeds, tamari and olive oil. Add sliced onion rings and mix together using your hands to gently massage the mixture to form a smooth paste consistency.
Transfer mixture onto a teflex sheet and smooth out until approx. ¼ thick – either a round or square shape bread. Dehydrate for 12 hours, before flipping the bread over to remove teflex sheet and continue to dehydrate until the desired consistency is achieved.
This mixture makes 1 tray of onion bread or 1 quiche flan.
To make the quiche flan simply mould the mixture into a shallow dish like shape and dehydrate until firm approx 24 hours.
Fill with your choice of tasty veggies to complete a yummy raw meal.
Suggested fillings, grated zucchini and onion, tomatoes, sliced mushrooms, grated carrot & sultana’s, grated beetroot or any combo of these.
