Chocolate Macaroons – Raw Recipe

Chocolate Macaroons

Ingredients

4 ripe banana’s

2 C shredded coconut

3/4 C chia seeds

3/4 C cacao power

1/4 C agave syrup (optional)
Method

Mash banana’s, either in a food processor or fork. Combine all ingredients together.

Using an ice cream scoop or spoon place mounds of the mixture onto a teflex tray and place in the dehydrator for 10 hours @ 43*.

You can also eat these sweet succulent macaroons just as they are, without dehydrating them, it makes a luscious gooey sweet dessert or an accompaniment to other fruits.

Variation of recipe is to omit the cacao and replace the chia with psylium flakes, this will give you a white macaroon. Why not make a batch of each 🙂

Another variation is to add goji berry’s, sultana’s or other dried fruit.
